Writing

We have been writing our letters to Santa this morning. 

Week

We have just been to check how the plants are growing and discovered that all three beds have plants now. Some strawberries and lettuces are ready to be picked . Maybe we will make something with them next week . 

Calendar Art

Some wonderful pieces of calendar art are being produced by the awesome Room 1 children. Come in and see the finished article. Super effort everyone!

End of week 1

The first week has flown by . Please can you send children with hats for the rest of this term? 

Our topic for this term is Global Citizens . The children will be learning and sharing information about where they come from and culture. It would be helpful if you could tell them something that they could share to the class .

Edible garden

Planting has been started in our vegetable garden. The year 2 children have strawberries, lettuces, carrots and onions growing . We will check progress regularily and will have to start sowing some seeds. 

Last week of term 3

Crazy hat day. There were some awesome hats worn . You all did a great job!!

Charlotte is off with her team (Magic Movers) in November to take part in another competition at Rangitoto College. Great job!!

At the Millennium

Children having so much fun and enjoying themselves. They have been kayaking ,team building, rockwall, water safety and team athletics. They will sleep tonight after a busy day. Such a fantastic day and with wonderful behaviour from everyone!!

Performance of The Big Bad Wolf

Today the school watched a fabulous performance . The  children really enjoyed it. Some of it was so funny . 

Our art at the Art Exhibition

Jump Jam

Charlotte will be representing Pinehill in Tauranga in a couple of weeks as part of one of the aerobic teams. Today they performed at Albany Mall. 

Life Education

We visited the Life Education bus and met Harold.  The children enjoyed finding out about oxygen and the body .

Fractions

We have been learning about a half, a quarter and a third.

Kids can cook

Chris came to our school today and taught us how to cook. One of our children from room 1 was a Sous Chef. Emily was brilliant . She helped make savoury pancakes. They tasted delicious!

This week all the children have presented their speech to the class. They all did an amazing job.  Two children have been selected to represent  our class in the Year 2 Speech Finals. Congratulations Emma and Fergus!! Good luck on Monday.

There are so many beautiful owls in our room. The children have done an outstanding job. Wow!!
