Today we had Old MacDonald's Farm to visit . It was wonderful to see the children getting to know and being able to pat these animals . Some of the children were a little worried but that soon disappeared once they realised that these animals were friendly and loved being stroked and spoken too. What a great experience !

Duck Diary Book Review
Our shared reader in week 1, Term 1
This book was a non fiction book and told us information.
Dorothy told us that,"The brown duck was a female" and Werner said, “ She is called a duck .”
Eliza said, “ The male duck has a green head.”
“The male duck is called a drake”, said Clement and Oliver said, “ The drake has bright colours.
“ A baby duck is called a duckling”, said Alison.
Charlotte told us that, "The mother duck started to moult." Moult means to loose feathers.
“The mother duck takes the ducklings into the pond when they are little”, said Hannah.
“The ducklings follow their mother where ever she goes”, said Calais.
Nathan said, “The mother duck keeps her ducklings warm under her wing.”
This was retold by Room 1 but typed by Mrs Fryer.
